Purchase Friends Meeting | 914-946-0206
Everyone is always welcome at a Quaker meeting for worship. Join with us at the Purchase Friends Meeting where in worship Friends gather into silent, expectant waiting. We hold ourselves open to the Light and reach for the divine center of our being. We know the center to be a place of peace, love, and balance, where we are at one with the universe and with each other. We know from experience that revelation is continuing and that a divine power is at work in the world today, healing, guiding, gathering, and transforming. We call this power God, the Light, Christ, the Seed, the Inward Teacher. By whatever name it is known, its nature is love. It draws us toward a life of integrity, simplicity, equality, community, and peace.

SUNY - Purchase University College | 914-251-6000
SUNY - Purchase College is located at 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577, just 20 miles north of Manhattan in Westchester County. Purchase College, part of the State University of New York's (SUNY) network of 64 universities and colleges, was founded in 1967 by Governor Nelson Rockefeller who envisioned a major publicly funded university system. Purchase would uniquely combine, on one campus, conservatory training in the visual and performing arts with liberal arts and sciences programs. The site selected was a 500-acre working farm, originally the property of Judge Thomas Thomas, a Revolutionary War hero. In bringing two styles of education, traditional liberal arts and science programs and conservatory based arts programs into close contact on one campus, Purchase College’s founders hoped to inspire an appreciation for both intellectual and artistic talents in all students.
