Willow Ridge Country Club is located at 123 North Street, Harrison, NY 10528. In 1917, a group of men displeased with crowded conditions at Apawamis established Green Meadow Country Club. The new Club leased, and later purchased, a 121-acre site. Maurice McCarthy, a golf professional, was hired to design and build an 18-hole facility, which is now the golf course at Willow Ridge Country Club.
From Willow Ridge: "The Willow Ridge Country Club has been a Westchester County landmark since being founded in 1917 as the Green Meadow Club. In 1965 the name of the club was changed to Willow Ridge because of the beauty and abundance of willow trees that adorned the property. The guiding principle upon which Willow Ridge was founded remains the essence of the club to this day-- “to be an active social and organized recreational club that strives to provide a sense of community to its members and guests”.Along with a championship caliber golf course, members and guests may enjoy other first rate qualities of the club such as the newly re-decorated clubhouse and expanded outdoor deck, tennis on well maintained Har-Tru courts, a large swimming pool and lounge area and recreational activities for young children. The classic ambiance of the clubhouse provides a warm inviting setting for lunch or dinner with friends, family and business associates to a luxurious wedding or party. All the activities and services of Willow Ridge are closely supervised by highly qualified professionals, dedicated to their specific areas of expertise. No detail is overlooked and there is a continual effort toward improvement."
