"Welcome to the Port Chester Schools, an award winning school district that the New York Times described as “High Profile, High Performing!” Along the same lines, the Journal News said, in an editorial, that Port Chester is a “Regional Leader in State Standards.” These accolades are not by accident! Rather, they are a direct result of the consistent educational performance made by our students on regional, national and state assessment tests. In 2005, the Port Chester Middle School received a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award under the "No Child Left Behind" Act. In addition, the Middle School was recognized as a “model of successful middle level education” and featured on “New York Learns,” a PBS media station. State Assessment results in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts continue to place Port Chester elementary students in the 80th to 90th percentile of all schools in the State and among the best in Westchester County. At our high school, we have reduced the rate of failure by almost 50% among 9th grade students due to restructuring. Our Regents results continue to improve dramatically."
